PRIVACY POLICY
What we know about you.
We ask for what an order needs and nothing beyond it. This page sets out what that is, why we hold it, who else sees it and how to make us delete it.

Who is responsible
[Legal entity name], trading as Reiyu, is the controller of the personal data described here. [Street address], [City, postal code], [Country]. Registration [Registration number].
For anything on this page, write to privacy@reiyu.art.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, delivery address and, where you give one, a phone number for the carrier.
When you send a custom request: your name, email address, shoe size, the description of your idea, any budget you indicate, and the reference images you attach. Please do not upload images of other people without their agreement, and do not send us anything you would not want stored.
When you write to us: the contents of your message and whatever you choose to include in it.
Payment: card and payment details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers. We see only the result of the payment and the last digits needed to identify it.
Technical data: our hosting and the systems in front of it record ordinary server logs — IP address, browser and the pages requested — to keep the site available and to resist abuse.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To make and deliver what you ordered, to answer your messages and to quote custom work — that is performance of our contract with you, or steps taken at your request before one exists.
To keep accounting and tax records — a legal obligation.
To keep the site running, prevent fraud and defend claims — our legitimate interest in operating a shop.
We do not profile you, we do not sell your data, and we send marketing only if you ask us to.
Who else sees it
Only the services an order actually passes through: our payment provider, the carrier that delivers your parcel, the hosting and email providers that run the site and our mailboxes, and — where the law requires it — our accountant and the tax authority.
Each of them receives the minimum needed to do its part, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes. Where a provider is outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and what your browser stores
This site runs no advertising and no analytics, and sets no tracking cookies.
Your bag is kept in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a refresh. It never reaches us until you place an order, and clearing your browser data removes it.
One cookie exists: a session cookie for the studio’s own staff area. It is set only when a member of the studio signs in, and it is never set for customers.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for [X] years, because tax law requires it. Custom requests and the images attached to them are kept while we are discussing the work and for a reasonable period after, so we can reprint or repair a pair we made for you. Messages that lead nowhere are deleted once the conversation is over.
Ask us to delete your reference images sooner and we will, unless they belong to an order we are still legally required to keep.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, ask us to restrict what we do with it, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and receive what you gave us in a portable format.
Write to privacy@reiyu.art and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you may complain to the [national data protection authority].
Children
This shop is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting orders already placed will be sent to you by email. Related reading: the shipping policy and the returns and refunds policy.
